Elia Group is operating high-voltage electricity transmission systems. Elia Group owns and operates the transmission system operators Elia Transmission Belgium in Belgium and 50Hertz Transmission in Germany. It is responsible for transporting electricity from producers to distributors and large industrial consumers, managing the balance between supply and demand, and ensuring the reliability, sustainability, and integration of renewable energy sources within the grid.
Beyond its core transmission activities, Elia Group also provides consultancy and engineering services, develops innovative grid solutions, and is a driving force behind the European energy transition and market integration.
